Maintenance is being performed on the power distribution systems of our Cox Hall data center. Power to the data center will be switched off on Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 5:30am-8:00am ET to troubleshoot and test the automatic transfer switch. This is required to ensure that we can switch to generator power when future electrical outages occur.

During this time-frame, most products and services hosted by the NCSCO will be unavailable, including:

• Data ingest and databases
• Data retrieval (including Cardinal and API) and other web products, including those on products.climate.ncsu.edu
• Gridded data services
• Hosted projects and services, such as DOT MPE (website and data), FireWx (website and data), CRONOS (login and API), and USAblight

Please note that this outage will not affect the websites for NCSCO and ECONet, but it might impact other pages that reference the above services.
