Following an unseasonably warm December, cooler weather has arrived in January, and it should stick around for at least the next week. Rain is also expected late this weekend from a cold frontal passage on Sunday. After that, mid-month may transition to a generally warmer and more typical La Niña pattern. That generally means drier weather for North Carolina, but some forecasts suggest precipitation will still be possible.
Our short-range outlook below covers the expected weather conditions during next four weeks. Alternatively, download it as a PDF or view it in our archive.
