From summers as a kid spent tracking the tropical storms that frequent the North Carolina coastline, Corey’s interest in weather, maps, and science communication took him to NC State University, and eventually to the State Climate Office, where he joined the staff in 2014. Corey’s communication efforts continue as editor for the Climate Blog and through interviews and presentations to groups across North Carolina. He is also a web developer and co-creator of monitoring and visualization tools including Cardinal, the Fire Weather Intelligence Portal, and the in-development Air Quality Portal.
