Haven Cashwell joined the State Climate Office in July 2024 as a Postdoctoral Research Scholar. Haven recently obtained her Ph.D. in Earth System Science from Auburn University (2024) where her dissertation work focused on climate communication using co-production techniques with different stakeholder groups. In her work at the State Climate Office, she will continue to do research on climate communication and education in various regions of North Carolina, focusing on how climate change will impact communities within the state. Haven also received her M.S. in Geography from Auburn University (2021) and her B.S. in Meteorology as well as a Minor in Environmental Science from North Carolina State University (2019). Being from Fayetteville, North Carolina, Haven is happy to be home and to join the State Climate Office.
