We put all of our data into Microsoft Excel. In the spreadsheet, we calculated the change in heating for every hour with the Gulf Stream. we then divided this number by the distance. This was the rate of Frontogenesis in degrees F per mile. We then repeated these steps using 40ºF instead of 76ºF. This new number was the rate of Frontogenesis without the Gulf Stream. After that, we made charts to show the difference between Frontogenesis with and without the Gulf Stream.
